Established
in l995, Madcaps is a non-profit making Out of School
club, offering safe, quality care in a stimulating and
purpose built environment. There are 62 places available,
regardless of race, religion, language, culture and ability.
Priority is given to parents who are working, studying,
or who have special need of a place for other reasons.
The club is registered with Ofsted and has regular inspections
to ensure that all standards are maintained. The club
is run by two full-time and ten part-time staff. Madcaps
has successfully completed a quality assurance scheme
and has a 4 star Food Hygiene award.
There
is a main club room with 4 internet linked pcs, PS2, Xbox,
Nintendo Wii, a weekly themed games and toy area, tv area,
games area, a craft and dining room, kitchen and music,
drama and sensory room. Outside there is a secure creative
play area adjacent to the building and a playground for
sports and games.
The
club is open from 7.30am-6pm throughout the year. In August
Madcaps runs a two week playscheme for 120 children on
behalf of the local council.
